While searching the internet for hotel room tariffs, you may find some confusing terms and wonder -
What is the full form of EP / CP / MAP / AP and what is their meaning?
EP – European Plan (Room only basis)
CP – Continental Plan (Bed and Breakfast)
MAP – Modified American Plan {Bed, Breakfast and one major meal (lunch or dinner)}
AP – American Plan (Room and all meals)
What does EPAI / CPAI / MAPAI / APAI mean?
The letters AI added to the above EP / CP / MAP / AP means all inclusive, meaning the rate is inclusive of all such as service charge, taxes etc. Rates on EPAI mean All Inclusive rates on European Plan (Room only).
